John Blake No Shave November 2020

Let it Grow and Join the Fight Against Cancer!

The Antrim Police Department is proud to be participating in “No Shave November”, an annual fundraising and awareness effort during which participants from around the world, including many law enforcement agencies, have put down their razors to join the fight against cancer. Every dollar raised supports the efforts to fund cancer research and education, to help prevent the disease and aid those fighting the battle. Chief Lester has authorized members of the Antrim Police Department to participate in this event and has waived the standard facial hair grooming policy during the month of November in order to allow officers to grow out their facial hair in support of this national campaign. “No Shave November” challenges participants to forgo shaving in order to provoke conversation and raise cancer awareness. Members of the Antrim Police Department are encouraged to donate the money that would typically be spent on shaving and grooming to this cause. The Antrim Police Department has joined the online fundraising efforts of “No Shave November” by creating a fundraising team at ( where we will be competing to raise funds against a number of other law enforcement agencies and individuals alike. Each day, 22,000 people die from cancer worldwide (WHO). There's a good chance that someone you know and love will be affected by this disease. Nearly half of cancer diagnoses and deaths are preventable. No-Shave November's mission is to not only raise funds for cancer research and treatment but to educate the population about preventative measures. Each year, participants around the globe put down their razors and join the fight against cancer. Will you join us?
